To introduce the students to the urban foci of intensive activities, their functioning, location, physical structure and special problems, students will conduct relevant surveys in areas such as land use, circulation, parking, conflict points, spatial differentiation, utilities and the general environment. Existing problems like congestion, incompatible uses, encroachment, are to be emphasized and recommendations for improvement presented. In addition, a study of planning models types such as iconic, analogue, symbolic, descriptive, predictive and other related currently in existence must be examined.
