Course Description
In conducting geographic research, the students will require understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics. At the end of the course, students should be able to: 1. appreciate the value of statistics in geographic research; and 2. simplify the complex world problems.
Course Outline
Introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics, parametric and non-parametric tests; Survey design and sampling techniques, Elementary statistical analysis of spatial patterns.
