Course Description
Goal: Understand current issues and problems in Mental Health – Psychiatric Nursing and
proffer solutions for quality client care.
Course Objectives: At the end of this course, students should be able to:
Understand new trends in nursing care
Apply modern concepts in Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing in efficient
management of clients.
Discuss contemporary issues as they affect mental health/psychiatric nursing.
Identify and proffer solutions to prevailing mental health problems.
