Course Description
At the end of this course, students should be able to: 1. appreciate the work of the technologist by learning to do same; 2. gain an appreciation of how theoretical principles are translated to practical appliances; 3. make quality assurance checks on jobs from the laboratory during practice; and 4. discuss and perform all laboratory steps involved in complete denture fabrication.
Course Outline
Bite-block fabrication and manipulation of gypsum. Arbitrary mounting of bite blocks on articulators. Setting teeth to bilateral balanced occlusion. Fabrication of the wax trial denture.
