Course Description
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. know the basic techniques of map making;
2. learn the scope and limitations of visual presentation of statistics sources; and
3. know the role of computer in gathering environmental data.
Course Outline
The basic techniques of map making, the use of variety of cartographic and other devices for
mapping and gathering environmental data; scope and limitations of the visual presentation of
statistics sources. Scale and error factors, map design, the logic of conceptual diagrams including
system diagrams.
