Curriculum Development in Art in Education

Course Description
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. underlying principles of curriculum development;
2. the core need of a curriculum;
3. from curriculum to evaluation; and
4. the ramifications of teacher accountability.
Course Outline
This course acquaints the student with in-depth knowledge of curriculum studies ranging from
educational theories to philosophical, psychological, and sociological issues. Also, it is expected
to expose the learner to theories and traditions and changes in curriculum. The course also
aims at acquainting students with an in-depth knowledge of evaluation and assessment of the
curriculum and the teacher accountability and control
