Course Description
At the end of the course, student should be able to: 1. manipulate electronic patterns and create other garment styles using Gerber Accumark Pattern making software; and 2. display the patterns for critique and exhibitions.
Course Outline
This course is designed to further acquaint students with design techniques and CAD that enhance design skills required by the fashion industry worldwide. Through visuals and easy steps, the students are introduced to the use of the most popular graphics software used in the fashion industry. Using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Valentina, Digital Fashion Pro and Gerber Accumark software, students will learn how to use advanced technology to digitally enter patterns into the computer, alter, and make patterns for a variety of silhouettes. Students will also grade patterns for a large range of sizes.
