Course Description
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. investigate and diagnose oral lesions;
2. differentiate between benign and malignant oral lesions; and
3. discuss the basic principles of maxillofacial reconstructive surgery.
Course Outline
Cysts of the jaws. Benign odontogenic swellings. Benign non-odontogenic swellings,
carcinomas, sarcomas. Maxillofacial reconstruction and tissue transplantation. Recent
advances in reconstructive surgery.
