Radiographic Equipment I

At the end of this course, the students should be able to: 1. describe electrical supply requirements for various types of x-ray tubes and instruments for controlling and monitoring these parameters in the production of x-rays; and 2. explain the construction and operation of X-ray tubes- both stationary and rotating anode.

Mains supply, Basic Principles of Generators including Falling load generators and frequency multipliers. Control and stabilising equipment. High tension circuits, Meters, Switches and circuit breakers.
