Course Description
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
1. describe design elements of form, shape, space and lines on a fashion design;
2. discuss the shape of the face in relation to the neckline of the garment;
3. illustrate various types of garments on a fashion figure; create the style, proportion and
construction of a garment;
4. design craftwork for portfolio presentation.
Course Outline
In this course, the student puts together a professional portfolio of illustrations on well-researched
themes and subjects, which is an advanced development of Fashion Sketching and
Illustration achieved at 300 Level. The sketch portfolio is professionally put together illustrating
clothing and wears for different purposes (children, youths, adults, male, female, special
occasions curtains, bed sheets, pillow cases and the likes).
