Periodontal Pathophysiology

At the end of this course, students should be able to: 1. discuss the anatomy of the periodontium in ill-health, and the patho-physiology and aetiology of the various broad groups of periodontal disease; 2. describe currently used classifications of periodontitis; and 3. identify specific acute and chronic periodontal conditions, measurement using periodontal indices, and discuss their management.
