Description
This introductory level provides participants with a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its growing impact on universities and higher education. It introduces key AI concepts, current applications of AI in teaching, learning, research, assessment, and university administration, and the changing skills that graduates will need in an AI-driven economy.
The course also examines the opportunities and challenges of AI in Nigerian higher education, including academic integrity, bias, misinformation, privacy, over-reliance on AI, and the changing role of lecturers and students. Participants will begin to consider how universities can move beyond simply adopting AI tools towards rethinking what they teach, how they teach it, and the competencies graduates need to remain relevant in the future of work.
