Course Description
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. list symptoms and signs of common lesions in plastic and reconstructive surgery;
2. discuss principles of management of common lesions in plastic and reconstructive surgery;
3. investigate patients;
4. treat; and
5. manage complications.
Course Outline
Symptoms and signs of common lesions in plastic and reconstructive surgery, including their
interpretations. Introduction to principles of management of common lesions in plastic and
reconstructive surgery (ulcers, burns and skin grafts.) including relevant investigations,
treatment, and treatment complications. Cleft lip and palate. Common cutaneous lesions and
cosmetic surgery.
