Course Description
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. define the fundamental principles and applications of Geographic Land Information Systems;
and
2. undertake specific field-based tasks
Course Outline
General introduction to the various facts of land surveying, determination of vertical distance
errors, and corrections in levelling cross-sections and profiles: contouring, enlargement and
reduction of maps, years. Introduction to Geographic land information systems, use of basic GPS
devices.
