At the end of this course, the student should be able to: 1. identify drugs used for the treatment and management of the listed systemic disorders - (gastrointestinal, renal, special senses, nervous musculo skeletal, reproductive, skin, endocrine and cancers and many others); 2. discuss the indications, dosages, actions, side effects, contraindications of drugs; 3. apply knowledge and skills in administration of drugs, including calculations where needed; 4. discuss nursing responsibilities and the need for safety monitoring of drugs, vaccines and other products for treatment of patients; and 5. discuss pharmacovigilance and the role of the nurse.
