Course Description
At the end of the course, students should be able to: 1. use basic Linux commands; 2. use basic Windows Server commands; 3. install the Apache Web Server; 4. install the Internet Information Server; 5. configure the Domain Name Service (DNS); 6. administer and manage a web server; and 7. monitor and analyse the web server environment such as review logs.
Course Outline
This course introduces students to web server administration. Students learn to install, administer, update and secure an Internet and/or Intranet web site. At least two web servers: Apache and Internet Information Server will be used. Also, students will learn some Linux and Windows Server commands
