Projects in Pharmacology

Course Description
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. discuss the scientific area of interest;
2. apply research techniques learnt in pharmacology research classes;
3. appreciate how to search for literature relevant to topical interest;
4. critically appraise research papers; and
5. produce a dissertation and orally present it.
Course Outline
The dissertation is a unique opportunity for students to carry out hypothesis-driven research in
different areas of pharmacology under the supervision of academic staff. Oral presentations of
the project are required (internal and external defence).
