Course Description
At the end of the OPT 604 course, the students should be able to:
1. conduct effective visual examination/assessment on paediatric patients under supervision;
2. conduct effective clinical treatment and management on paediatric patients;
3. properly refer paediatric patients, when necessary, to clinicians with expert training in
managing paediatric cases; and
4. counsel parents and/or guardians of paediatric patients on their condition and the appropriate
management options.
Course Outline
Examination, diagnosis, treatment, and management of infants to adolescents. Orthoptics
practice.
