Course Description
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. define classification of defects and its complexities;
2. identify the stages of fabrication of a maxillary obturator; and
3. demonstrate the skill in carrying out detailed procedure of fabricating maxillary obturators.
Course Outline
Fabrication of all types of maxillofacial prosthetic devices such as eye, nasal, ear, and facial
prostheses. Choice of materials and the process of the fabrication of all types of maxillofacial
prostheses.
