Course Description
At the end of this course, students should be able to: 1. list sources of population data, national census; 2. explain population dynamics, structure and growth; 3. define demographic characteristics; 4. list sources of health data and vital statistics; 5. explain measurement of health and disease; 6. describe measurement of fertility and mortality 7. discuss standardisation of vital rates; and 8. explain interaction between medical action, health and population growth.
