Course Description
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. demonstrate skills on technical drawing of different types of glass furnaces and furnace
accessories; and
2. explore the use of computer software such as AUTOCAD for drawing glass-furnaces and
furnace accessories.
Course Outline
Set projects on industrial glass furnaces in Nigeria, furnaces for container glass, both regenerative
and recuperative. Day tank furnaces. sheet glass furnaces; Auxiliary furnaces burners machine
parts and tools. Forming machines and moulds.
