Introduction to Public Health

At the end of the course, students should be able to: 1. explain the history and philosophy of public health and its core values; 2. explain the concept of public health and its function in Nigeria and across the globe; 3. demonstrate competence in explaining various concepts of public health; 4. identify different branches of public health and their application in National Health Policy; and 5. explain the various layers of health care and the agencies responsible at each level.
