Course Description
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. identify malocclusion;
2. describe malocclusion;
3. determine when referral is needed to the orthodontist; and
4. advise patients to seek orthodontic intervention.
Course Outline
Terminologies in Orthodontics. Define orthodontics. Define occlusion. Define normal occlusion.
Define malocclusion. Define centric occlusion. Identify broadly when there is malocclusion.
Identify orthodontic appliances. Advice and Care of orthodontic appliance.
